A note from Managing Director Dennis Dunlap on DunlapSLK’s response to COVID-19.

To Our Colleagues, Clients & Friends:

As I’m sure you are aware, the presence of the novel coronavirus is currently impacting our communities and the way that we live our daily lives. We at DunlapSLK have been closely monitoring the situation with a view toward both uninterrupted service to our clients as well as the health and safety of both our clients and our employees.

While our office does not currently fall under any formal restrictions, we are relying on guidance from the CDC and the healthcare community regarding recommended hygiene and social distancing. Our employees have been made aware of the importance of staying home if they have been exposed to the coronavirus or are experiencing symptoms associated with COVID-19.

From a service preparedness standpoint, we have invested significantly into technology that allows our employees to work from nearly any location at any time. We have communicated to them that while our office will remain open, they may choose to work at home. Some may need to do so in order to care for children that are home from school; others may choose to do so for their own health and peace of mind.

How does this affect you?

In order to provide for the health and safety of both our clients and our employees, we have made the decision to close our doors to the public at least until Monday, March 30. This means that, while many of us may be in the office working, we will not be meeting with clients or other business partners at our office during this time. If you have tax or other information you need to provide to us during this period, we ask that you upload it on our website or mail it to us. If you prefer to drop it off, there is a locked and waterproof DunlapSLK mailbox outside our door where you can drop information. In addition, during this time period, we will not be open for pick up of completed tax returns or other information. Please communicate with your contact at the firm to let us know if you prefer electronic delivery or mail delivery.

We apologize for any inconvenience. Our commitment is to provide you with the best service we can while also protecting the health of our employees. Thank you for your patience during this unsettling time.

Please feel free to call me or any of our partners should you have any questions.
